Jessica Alice and I had an idea to start a podcast so we could talk about all the pop culture we loved from an unashamedly feminist perspective, as well as showcase our favourite feminist babes in extended, feature interviews. In the very first episode we explain the basic idea, preview some of the segments we want to produce every month and we feature an in-depth interview with Van Badham, on her feminist awakenings, kick-arse feminist artists she loves, and the connection between the two.
We hope you enjoy the first episode and that you’ll forgive the exposition – in future we want to get right down to business with segments like Boob Tube, Cinemama, Bad Feminists, Feminist Hacks and The Women’s Room. We’ll leave it up to you to imagine what those titles refer to (for now), and we warmly welcome your ideas and feedback on the whole venture. So have a listen – we even explain the name! And because all production is by the talented Ron Killeen, you can be sure it sounds super good.
